​​Dennis Leon, DVM, CCRT

Dr. Dennis Leon earned his veterinary degree from Cornell University in 2001. Following his veterinary education, Dr. Leon worked in a busy multi-doctor practice in Hayward, California, where he also served as a veterinary consultant to the City of Hayward Animal Services Bureau, Hayward Animal Shelter, Alameda County Animal Control, and San Leandro Animal Shelter. In 2005 he became the medical director at Levittown Animal Hospital in New York and practiced there for over ten years. He relocated to Portland in 2016 and can be found working at Willowbrook Veterinary Hospital or Viva Pet Care.

Dr. Leon's professional interests include preventative medicine, anesthesiology, pain management, kidney disease, behavioral medicine and obesity treatment. In 2014, he completed the requirements for becoming a Certified Canine Rehabilitation Therapist via the Canine Rehabilitation Institute in Coral Springs, Florida. Dr. Leon is one of only four veterinarians in Portland to be certified in physical rehabilitation. In 2012, Dr. Leon began teaching third and fourth year veterinary students when the Cornell University Hospital for Animals selected him as the Robert W. Kirk DVM Practitioner-in-Residence.

Sarah Naidoo, DVM, MA, DACVIM

Dr. Sarah Naidoo earned her veterinary degree at the University of Montreal in 2000, completed a small animal internship in southern California, and was residency trained in Small Animal Internal Medicine at the Atlantic Veterinary College in Prince Edward Island, Canada. She became board certified by the American College of Veterinary Internal Medicine (ACVIM) in 2004. Dr. Naidoo is available by special arrangement behind the scenes at Willowbrook Veterinary Hospital for ultrasound studies, echocardiograms, and internal medicine consultations.

Nicole Froelich, DVM

Dr. Nicole Froelich earned both her undergraduate (BS Zoology & BA Spanish) and veterinary degrees from Washington State University. Originally from San Diego, she has called the Pacific Northwest her home since 2004. Dr. Froelich stands out in the veterinary community as a thorough communicator who considers her clients a part of the veterinary care team. Her professional interests include preventative medicine, infectious diseases, and behavioral medicine. She strives to minimize stress for all of her patients during each veterinary visit and is actively developing strategies to help our “vetphobic” cats and dogs. In addition to treating canines & felines, Dr. Froelich is also trained to care for some small mammals, including rabbits and rodents. In her free time, she can be found trail running and attending Portland Thorns games.

Christine Kurowski, DVM

Dr. Christine Kurowski grew up in the suburbs of Chicago, Illinois and attended the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign. While in school she completed an internship at the Anti-Cruelty Society of Chicago, worked at the University sheep farm, and learned to care for all animals, large and small. She fulfilled her lifelong dream of becoming a veterinarian, earning her DVM from University of Illinois in 2005. Following graduation she began working at a multi-doctor private practice near her hometown. In the summer of 2011, Dr. Kurowski moved to Oregon with her husband and started practicing at a busy multi-doctor veterinary hospital in Sandy, Oregon. Dr. Kurowski has a passion for soft-tissue & orthopedic surgery and building long lasting doctor-client relationships. She is excited to get to know the clients and their furry families at Willowbrook. Dr. Kurowski enjoys hiking and exploring the Pacific Northwest with her husband and her mixed breed dogs: Jack, Joe, and Jett.

Karen, Hospital Manager

Karen is a native Oregonian hailing from Eugene. A welcoming and familiar face at Willowbrook Veterinary Hospital, Karen has been helping clients and their pets here since 2003. Originally working part-time, she joined the team full-time in 2010. When not at Willowbrook she can be found working (or relaxing) at her mini farm. Karen enjoys working outdoors, rockin’ out at Jazzercise, and spending weekends at the beach.

Lily, Certified Veterinary Technician

Lily has been working in the veterinary field for for over a decade and joined the Willowbrook team in 2016. She graduated from Sanford Brown college in 2012 and passed the VTNE to become a Certified Veterinary Technician. She enjoys her role as a CVT as well as getting to know her clients and patients. When not working, Lily can be found spending time with her husband, one cat, two ferrets, two chinchillas, and 18 rats.

Natasha, Certified Veterinary Technician

Natasha is a native Oregonian, born and raised in Portland, Oregon. She earned her AAS in Veterinary Technology from Portland Community College in 2106. Although she is a familiar face at Willowbrook, she currently works only one day a week at the practice. She spends the rest of her work week at Bonnie L. Hays small animal shelter of Washington County. When she is not working you will find her spending time with her husband, dog, and cat. She also enjoys bowling, traveling, and running.

Tiffany, Certified Veterinary Technician

Tiffany was born in Washington but raised in Salem, Oregon. She earned her BA in psychology from the University of Oregon and her AAS in veterinary technology from Portland Community College. Tiffany has been working in the veterinary field for three years and earned her credentials as a Certified Veterinary Technician in 2017. She holds the distinction of being a Certified Fear Free technician. Prior to entering the veterinary field, Tiffany was the assistant acquisitions librarian at the Willamette University Law Library. In her free time, she enjoys camping, baking, and embroidery. She shares her home with three Toy Australian Shepherds, a Mini Australian Shepherd, two cats and an ornate box turtle.
